Ted was born and raised on a family farm in Fielding Utah where he still lives 50 years later.
Ted has been married for 29 years to his High School sweetheart Calli. They have three children. The oldest Easton is married and has an 11 month old baby boy that is the best thing ever. Holden is 24 and Kinley his baby girl is getting married next month.
Ted’s first and foremost passion is being a Husband, Father and now a Grandpa.
Ted started running in 2016 and fell in love with trail running. He competed in his first half marathon in 2017 and he thought that would be his last. But it was just the beginning. He has since competed in several ultra marathons. Ted has also ran the R2R2R which takes you from the South rim to the North rim and back to the South rim of the Grand Canyon. Ted also annually runs the Teton Crest Trail.
Ted will be embarking The Bear 100 on September 31, 2023. The BEAR 100 joins the ranks of some of the toughest, as well as most scenic, trail races in the world with elevation ranging from around 5,000 feet to 9,200 feet. It's challenges are sure to test the strength and endurance of any well-trained runner.
