Dear Sweet Friends,
I am looking forward to celebrating my birthday with all of you! In advance of the birthday festivities, I want to share some information and also ask a favor-
I serve on the board of RODS Heroes, a nonprofit that inspires families to adopt a child with Down syndrome or other unique circumstances and helps with grants to offset the high financial costs associated with international adoption. I've known the founders of RODS Heroes, Brady and Andrea Murray, for many years and think the world of them and this cause!
There are currently 23 children all under the age of 5 in Armenian orphanages/institutions who were born with Down syndrome. All 23 are eligible for adoption and are waiting to be noticed by a family. As a board member, a mother, and a soft-hearted human, I want to do whatever I can to advocate for these children who need a family. In lieu of a wrapped gift, I ask that you consider donating to RODS Heroes instead. Your donation will allow our team to tell these children's stories and provide families grants of $5,000 to put toward their ~$40,000 adoption costs. I would love to make a difference in the lives of these kiddos.
Each of you bring so much happiness to my life and I hope that collectively we can bring happiness to their lives as well.
